Wildfires are becoming more prevalent in the surrounding Bay Area Counties and overall in the State
of California. Wildfires release airborne particulate matter and gases that can have health
impacts for more susceptible indoor building occupants.
Lab leadership commissioned a working group to evaluate the Lab’s procedures for handling indoor air quality during wildfire smoke events.
