As of July 2024, we do not currently have the capability to allow visitors to enroll in LabAlert. We are actively seeking to add this capability, please check back soon.
LabAlert is our primary means of communicating emergency information to the Lab.
This includes issuing protective actions (shelter-in-place, lockdown, evacuate), and attaining accountability for employees (so we can accurately direct first responders for assistance). We may also send LabAlert notifications for time-critical notifications such as gate, building, or Lab closures, etc.
All Lab personnel are automatically enrolled with their work contact information. We strongly encourage all personnel to add their personal contact information to ensure that emergency notifications are received in a timely manner.
To add your personal contact information to your LabAlert profile, click one of the buttons at the top of the page. Click on “My Profile (Edit)”, add any desired contact information, and use the blue arrows to the left of each method to change the order in which you are notified (i.e. receive a text message before a phone call). Be sure to save when you’re done!
Emergency Management is required to test LabAlert quarterly. Please respond to these notifications to let us know our system is working properly!
If you have any questions about LabAlert, or would like to request a system test for an individual or team, please contact us at emergencymanagement@lbl.gov.
